George Eccles

Principal Podiatrist/Director

Graduating from La Trobe University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Masters in Podiatric Practice, George was awarded “Golden Key Membership” for outstanding academic achievement.

Combined with a previous Nursing Degree, he has over 20 years experience working across all health sectors including acute, community, private and aged care.

George is proficient in all areas of podiatry but has a special interest in diabetic foot care and in managing physiological changes to the aging foot.

He is a professional member of Diabetes Australia, Victoria.

Identifying a growing need for domiciliary (home) podiatric care George founded Step Free Podiatry in 2015 – a completely mobile podiatry service committed to providing foot care of the highest standard.

George is passionate about education and has continually updated his knowledge base since graduating. His contribution to the development of health professionals includes work as:

• Supervisor and mentor for Grade 1 (New graduate) podiatrists
• Lead supervisor for 3^rd and 4^th year podiatry students during external placement
• Pharmacology tutor for podiatry students
• Nursing Preceptor
